On Saturday, June 1st, 2019, the “I Love Beer Show” attended the Montelago Village Beerfest at Lake Las Vegas as media guests – and to say a good time was had by all would be an understatement! We joined the Craft Beer Mob and over 1,000 craft beer drinkers in attendance drinking great beers from a variety of great breweries, many who exhibit at most of the beer events held in Las Vegas. (and there are many!) Watch the video below and you’ll understand why we think the Montelago Village beer festival (www.MLVBF.com) is consistently one of the most fun and best run events the Las Vegas Valley has to offer… even if this one constituted the “Series Finale”, right down to the souvenir sampling glass. Yes glass, not plastic! It’s the little things that make for a great beer festival!
Everyone loves the “I Love Beer Show”! Once we set up our booth, we were ready to start having the various exhibitors show up for short interviews, but we quickly learned it was so much easier to visit their booths instead and get the skinny on what beers they were pouring and learn about some of the new and interesting takes they had on the craft beer industry. (We apologize for the blurry video – unfortunately, something got stuck on the camera lens and we were unaware until post-production. I guess that happens when you spend over 5 hours toting a camera at a crazy hustling and bustling beer fest!) Nonetheless, we were able to talk to a number of our favorite breweries in attendance, many of who have been featured on the “I Love Beer Show” previously. They include:
- 21st Amendment Brewing
- 3 Monkeys Brewing
- Boulder Dam Brewing
- Brooklyn Brewery
- College Street Brewing
- Firestone Walker
- Founders
- Funkwerks
- Grand Canyon Brewing
- Guinness
- Hop Valley Brewing
- Kona Brewing
- Lagunitas Brewing
- Magic Hat
- New Belgium
- Rickety Cricket Brewing
- Saint Archer
- Sierra Nevada
- Stone Brewing
And don’t forget to pick up your copy of Nevada Beer Quest, Nevada’s only printed and digital interactive “Brewspaper” for “Craft Beer Peeps”, which is printed monthly/bi-monthly as an 11″ x 14″ brewspaper featuring entertaining articles with interactive QR codes linking directly to featured breweries, taprooms, gastropubs, and posts with added pictures and videos!
With live bands and jazz music all day, the Beer Festival went from 3-8:00pm, but you wouldn’t believe how quickly time flies when you’re drinking great beer and talking to some amazing people at a venue such as Montelago Village. We needed more time! Luckily, those that remained at the end all gathered at “The Pub”, the official host of the event, proving the adage: “you can never drink enough beer!”
All of us at the “I Love Beer Show” would like to thank Michael Pfohl for all his help and hospitality and all the event organizers over at NevadaBeerLovers.com, including the Vegas Beer Lovers and the Reno Beer Lovers groups who are just amazing with all the craft beer promotions they produce throughout the year. What’s great about their events is they not only put on a first rate beer festival, but through these events they help raise funds for their favorite non-profit organizations whose efforts benefit everyone in Nevada.
Keep up-to-date with the Montelago Village BeerFest at their Facebook Fan Page here and at the Event Page here as well. Cheers!
